I was opposed to the invasion of Iraq before it happened, and am now opposed to the ongoing occupation there. If I am elected to Congress, I will support all efforts to restrict funding for that misadventure and to remove our military presence there as quickly and safely as possible. I will oppose all efforts to use our military as a diplomatic weapon. The military is for the defense of our nation, not an offensive tool for us to impose our will upon the world.
