I supported impeaching George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney long before it was discussed in the media. However, if I am elected in 2008, impeachment of these two criminals will be moot. Nevertheless, I would still support Congressional hearings to investigate and publicize the depths of their criminal wrongdoing, and pursue criminal charges against them. Furthermore, if our next president should attempt to capitalize on the expansion of the powers of the executive that the Bush administration has been allowed to undertake, and violate the law or abuse the powers of the office, then I, unlike our current “representative,” will not hesitate to do my constitutional duty and fulfill my oath of office by bringing impeachment to the floor and/or supporting impeachment brought by others.
